DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE

AIR FORCE LIFE CYCLE MANAGEMENT CENTER (AFMC)

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE OHIO

31 August 2018

FROM: AFLCMC/PZIBC (Hannah Wood) 1940 Allbrook Drive, Room 109 Wright-Patterson AFB, OH 45433

SUBJECT: Response to Inquiries regarding FA8601-18-Q-0238 MT65 and 45 Microwave Absorber

QUESTIONS

1. Is there a loading dock to unload materials from truck?

2. How far away from chamber is loading dock

3. What is the existing floor of the chamber; Steel, Concrete, Raised Access Panel; loading capacity of chamber floor (shield on concrete or raised access floor)

4. Can the chamber floor support a 4500# scissors lift

5. Will all existing equipment be removed from chamber by owner prior to start of refurbishment

6. A floor plan drawing of the area would be very helpful, in order to see access from outside of building and any obstructions on floor area (cable troughs, pits, etc.)

7. Any information on doors sizes to access area and chamber for lifts

8. If the room was recently constructed, perhaps they know if lifts of scaffolding were used for the installation

ANSWER

1. No, but there is an open parking lot/road fork lift accessible. (See attachment #1 photo of building)

2. There is no loading dock.

3. Concrete - should be able to support any lifts necessary. (Note the entries to the chamber are fairly narrow - refer to the drawings I sent earlier)

4. Yes

5. Yes with the exception of the reflector and fee which are permanently mounted to the floor. (See photo Attachments #2)

6. See attachment #1 - I don't have anything else.

7. Standard sized single door. (The double doors open to the control room, but the doors into the chamber are single.) (See Attachment #3)

8. The chamber was put in over 25 years ago - thus the hand drawings. I assume small scissor lifts were used.
