FA8601-12-R-0081

1. What format do you want our proposal to appear? (E-mail, written, etc)

RESPONSE: Written or E-mail is acceptable.

2. What elements do you want to see (other than price)?

RESPONSE: Ability to comply with the requirements of the Statement of Work.

3. Do you have specific time frame in mind?

RESPONSE: Models shall be delivered within eight (8) months.

4. Since there are 4 line items (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4) do you want pricing on each item (including shipping & handling) with a Grand Total at the end?

RESPONSE: Yes, please provide a price for each item, with a total at the end.

5. Will NASA provide specifications/diagrams of the various launch vehicles?

(Generic information is available online)

RESPONSE: Please see amended Statement of Work.

6. Will there be a NASA point of contact for this project so we can send digital images of our project for review and correction during production (if needed)? On a project such as this there will be a need for routine communication for project updates and changes which is in the interest of both parties.

Specific questions with respect to line items:

1.1.1 Will details be provided as to the appearance of the Defense Support Program (DSP) satellite in the launch configuration?

RESPONSE: The DPS satellite shall be in stowed launch configuration see attachment #3

1.2.1 Given that the ISS will be five feet long, do you have an approximate size for the docked Shuttle and Soyuz aircraft or are we to use our best judgment?

1.2.2 Is there a certain size desired for the display case in order to show a typical NFL regulation football field?

U.S Air Force

FA8601-12-R-0081

RESPONSE: The case’s horizontal dimensions (length and width) shall be determined as follows: The case must allow 4-5 inches clearance all around the “football field” to the clear acrylic plastic case. All other measurements follow from technical specifications requirements.

Note that this 4-5 inches requirement takes precedence over the 7-8 inches horizontal clearance requirement in the technical specification. The goal overall is to have an adequate and eye-pleasing space between what’s in the case and the case itself.

Is there a particular NFL football field that should appear on the base (e.g. Cowboy Stadium, etc)?

RESPONSE: No. The football field should be generic, i.e., it must represent an NFL regulation field, but have no logos. Do not include the Team Areas or Coaching Boxes. Do include goal posts and pylons. References are available at http://www.nfl.com/rulebook/field and http://www.sportsknowhow.com/football/field-dimensions/nfl-football-field-dimensions.html.

1.3 Explorer Satellite Model: Do you want the NASA meatball logo on the stand?

RESPONSE: No.

1.4 There is a list of various rocket models that are to represent various NASA missions. Is there anything special about this representation respect to the actual model construction/appearance?

RESPONSE: Yes. The models must accurately represent vehicle configurations, colors, markings, and insignia for the missions specified.

1.4.11. Titan 4B (with 86-foot payload shroud); will details on the shroud be provided?
