Questions Regarding RFP FA8538‐17‐R‐0025
1. In paragraphs 4.0 and 4.1.1 of the SOW the term Depot Level Overhaul is used. The overhaul
Tech Order allows for partial tear down for basic repair but also instructions for complete teardown and inspection of assembly and sub‐assemblies.
Answer: This contract should be solicited per TO. 35D4‐2‐30‐1, chapter 4 "Overhaul Instructions".
2. Will there be a current Technical Order provided by the Government for bid development?
Answer: Yes, a current Technical Order is available.
3. By using the term Depot Level Overhaul, is the Government mandating that the contractor perform a complete teardown, removal of coatings, inspection, non‐destructive inspection of major components and reapplication of all coatings per the Tech Order of all assemblies and subassemblies on all assets received?
Answer: Yes
4. Does Depot Level Overhaul mean basic repairs to simply return to serviceable are not acceptable for this contract award?
Answer: Yes
