Performance-Based Work Statement (PWS) for
Pressure Altimeter Repair
NSNs: 6610-01-074-2819LG & 6610-01-543-8567LG
Part Numbers: 43932-052 & 570-23932-012
Purchase Request: FD2060-16-00435
Date: 29 March 2016
1.1 Description of Services
This Performance–Based Work Statement (PWS) outlines the requirements to provide repairs for the listed Pressure Altimeters for United States Air Force (USAF)
1.2 Objective(s): This PWS describes the services required of limited sources to repair the
Pressure Altimeter units. The contractor shall promptly maintain turnaround time for routine backorders reported after contract award date. Limited source shall deliver assets on time, comply with the quality levels of repair necessary to return assets in serviceable condition, and provide timely as well as accurate reporting in CAV-AF. Reference herein to a number of days, unless otherwise specified, is calendar days.
1.3 Benefit to United States Air Force (USAF): As a result of this effort, this acquisition will benefit the customers by providing a continued flow of serviceable assets to the warfighter, thus meeting mission requirements.
1.4 Background:
The C-130 Pressure Altimeter Source of Repair Assignment Process (SORAP) 13-095F was approved by HQ AFMC/A4DC as contract repair. The final Depot Source of Repair (DSOR)
(DMI # 13095F) and Joint DSOR decisions were approved on 15 Aug 2014 by HQ
AFMC/A4DC. Proper action(s) were taken to ensure the appropriate materiel support codes and source of repair codes for the hardware were recorded in the Federal Logistics Information
System (FLIS) Receipt, Edit and Routing System (D143C). Screening was accomplished and resulted in the assignment of an Acquisition Method Code (AMC) of R5C. This means the
Government does not own the data or the rights to the data needed to contract repair these parts from other than limited sources. The Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) is unwilling to sell the rights of this data nor are they interested in partnering with the Government.
