Question/Response QUESTION: B-1: When testing each arming solenoid in a non-release situation, for how long is the force applied to the solenoid?
RESPONSE: There is no set time. The technician applies a D-200 mechanical force gage long enough to ensure lanyard retention.
AFLCMC… Providing the Warfighter’s Edge
QUESTION: B-52H Unique Requirements, section 3.4.3.1.2, Conventional Rotary Launcher Functional Test.
What does CRL Common Core consist of?
Will these tests be performed on or off aircraft?
Is '1760 cable configuration' same as 'CRL 1760 ASI and Ejector Interface' ?
RESPONSE:
| • The common core launcher consists of the IWIU, S/V LRU’s and MAU-12 | ejectors. Each ejector location has a 1760 interface connector for weapon | umbilical. Increment 1.2 will introduce 2 TRU units that will provide high | capacity 28 VDC weapons power. |
| • The launcher will be tested in the backshop. The BAT should have the | capability to perform a launcher single station check while installed on the | aircraft. | |
| • The 1760 configuration is similar to the HSAB. A 1760 umbilical disconnect | and a MAU-12 connector is present at each station. The HSAB and Launcher | electrical disconnect configurations are the same. The only difference is the | placement of the 1760 disconnect in relation to the MAU-12. |
QUESTION: B-52H Unique Requirements, section 3.4.3.2, Wiring Tests.
Is "CSRL to B-52H Bomb Bay Disconnect" the same test as " CRL to B-52H Bomb Bay Disconnect"?
Is ICSMS Pylon (1760 Pylon) the same as Station 218 1760 Pylon?
Does "Non-Nuclear 218 Conventional to B-52H LH/RH Pylon Wing disconnects" test include 'A7184 Conventional Weapons Relay Panel' and 'AJCP' or are they separate TPSs?
RESPONSE:
Partially, new connectors are added for some signals related to the 2 launcher configurations. Increment 1.2 will include the addition of 2 TRU’s that will furnish high capacity 28 VDC weapon power.
Yes.
A7184 weapons panel is for gravity non-1760 weapons. The Alternate Jettison Control Panel (AJCP) is utilized for 1760 weapon jettison. The wing electrical disconnects are different for A7184 and 1760 system checkout. Yes, they are currently two separate TPSs.
QUESTION: B-52H Unique Requirements, section 3.4.3.3, Backshop Tests.
Is SP/HSAB configured for MIL-STD-1760?
Does the SP/HSAB test include IWIU and WRP or are they separate TPSs?
RESPONSE:
1. The SP/HSAB is configured for MIL-STD-1760.
2. The SP/HSAB can be configured for 1760 and Non-1760 weapons release.
Yes, they are currently two separate TPSs.

QUESTION: Per BAT Spec 3.4.2.3 “The BAT shall fault isolate to an LRU”. With the existing test set once the fault is located to the CWIU, the CWIU is removed from the launcher. Then isolating the fault to the SRU level is then performed on the bench. Need confirmation that this is still the procedure to follow?
RESPONSE: Yes that is still the procedure.
QUESTION: B-52: What UUTs are considered CRL Common Core?
RESPONSE: The IWIU, S/V Junction Box, and associated cabling/connectors. The TRUs added in increment 1.2 will be tested by weapons personnel with a load bank, however, the BAT shall test for the presence of DC power, with minimal load during test of the launcher.
QUESTION: 11B29-3-55-1 Figure 6-6 shows a 10-Carry SECBM Launcher schematic that uses a CSLU, PCA and T/R LRU.
BAT Specification Section 3.4.2.3 shows the Transformer Rectifier Unit and the CSLU LRU as components of the CBM launcher only and that the SECBM launcher uses the CWIU, PCA, Transformer and Power Supply LRU’s. Are there two configurations for the SECBM launcher or just the one that uses the CWIU, PCA, Transformer and Power Supply LRU’s?
RESPONSE: Just the one configuration that uses the CWIU, PCA, Transformer and Power Supply LRU’s.
QUESTION: Specification: Paragraph 3.1.20.8 (Data at Rest Encryption).
The paragraph states the “system shall encrypt all data at rest”. Does the exported data have to be encrypted? Under which accounts will decryption be allowed?
Do you need all data encrypted as soon as the data log is written (i.e. no longer being used by the tester)?
Can the system run unencrypted, then encrypt the data as it is powered off?
Per 3.3.10, What about data exported off the system (i.e. to a CD/DVD)? What is the “cyber compliant” requirement that is desired?
RESPONSE: The entire non-volatile storage media containing the BAT operating System, Test Executive, Test Program sets etc. shall be encrypted. There is no specific requirement to encrypt exported data at this time.
SAIC
Question/Response QUESTION: Is Performance Specification, paragraph 3.4.3.3, last bullet ( - Test CRL (LRUs) to include …) mean there are 3 TPSs’ involved (i.e. testing a CRL, testing an IWIU as a standalone UUT, testing an S/V Junction Box as a standalone UUT), OR testing the CRL with the IWIU and S/V Junction Box contained within the CRL, CRL IWIU, S/V Junction box
RESPONSE: Test of the CRL will include testing the assembled CRL, standalone test of the IWIU and S/V Junction Box.
QUESTION: Can they provide a mechanical drawing for the existing 750120-3 14in Ejector Rack Fixture or provide the dimensions for the area the ERF can occupy to safely mount it on the 28-Carry and 10-Carry launcher?
RESPONSE: Drawings for ERF, specifically 750120-1, 750120-3, PL750120-3, 750576-1, PL750577-1, 750577-1 will be provided in the next data release.
