1. I would like to know how many singles and doubles will be needed monthly for this BPA? We are estimating needing approximately 700 rooms each month, which is why we are doing a multiple award. Some members due to their rank require a single occupancy room while others we may get to double up.

2. Will the rooms be needed on a daily, weekly or monthly basis? They will be need across a

Friday and Saturday night once a month, but potentially, if the need arose for someone to make up a drill during the week, we could see that happening. After award, we can divulge the dates of the drill weekends, but due to security, that information is currently publicly disclosable.

3. Will shuttle service need to be provided for anyone? No

4. Do the rooms need to have a kitchen? No

5. How much advance notice will we be given to arrange for the lodging requirement? See answer to question 2.

6. Solicitation has no information about amount of rooms and dates required for the BPA. Is there an amount of rooms needs to be reserved on certain days or is it just based on hotel’s availability when the purchase call made? It is based on availability when we place the call, which is why we are doing a multiple award.

1. What is the estimated amount of rooms you will need in a year? We estimate needing approximately 700+/- rooms per month which is why we are issuing a multiple award.

2. Approximately how many overflow rooms is the 78th FSS Pine Oaks sending to overflow on a monthly or yearly basis? The number of rooms available at Pine Oaks is irrelevant to this acquisition.

3. Will any of the lodgers pay the lodging bill at check-out, or are all payment via invoice to the BPA caller? The rooms will be paid for using the Government Purchase Card, which is processed as a credit card payment at checkout.

4. Is there a minimum diamond or star rating requirement? The PWS does not require a minimum number of stars for a hotel, however, the commander may reserve the right to now utilize a hotel is they feel it puts the safety of their Airmen at risk.

5. Will the rooms be single or double occupancy or a combination of both? Depending on the rank, some members are required to double up, others, again based on rank, will be authorized a single occupancy room.

6. Will this just be for Air Force personnel or may the lodging include their families? This will be for Airmen performing military drill duties.

7. Most hotels do not have security guards 24 hours, but have hotel staff 24 hours a day. Are you requiring a separate security guard for this contract? No , per SOW paragraph

2.1.6. 24-hour security. A 24-hour security service is defined as 24-hour foot patrol or a minimum of camera surveillance to include foot patrol security conducted at a minimum during hours of darkness. We will modify the SOW to remove that additional requirement.

8. Confirming these are tax-exempt rooms. The government does not pay taxes to itself, so we are exempt from federal tax, but we do pay the hotel/motel tax.

9. Would you please clarify what a “Cost only” contract is please? We have had cost plus contracts and a few other cost contracts but I am not familiar with a Cost Only. It means the award will not be a formal source selection it will be based on price.
