Questions and Answers: Solicitation FA822424Q0014
Question 1:
…per the Ingersoll Rand the closed loop cooling system is not an Ingersoll Rand product. We currently do not produce cooling tower systems. We can obtain a quote from a 3rd party on the cooling tower system but we will need build specs to send in.
I need some sort of drawings or build specs to share with the 3rd party source. Is the cooling system to be built and shipped on a skid? Shipping in parts to be assembled on site? I need a lot more information to bring to our builder.
Answer 1:
The product description has been updated with specifications to address build specification concerns. Please see section 3.1.2 of the Product Description for updated information.
The cooling system is shipped on a skid and lifted into place once it arrives on-site.
Question 2:
In order to quote you the exact product, request you to please advise us on the below query raised by the vendor. We need clarification as to what the “Accessory Kit” is on this request in regards to the closed loop cooling system?
Answer 2:
The product description has been updated with specifications to address build specification concerns. Please see section 3.1.2 of the Product Description for updated information.
Question 3:
The part number: FSBN4BH00 doesn’t have a Manufacturer listed… (in reference to section 3.1.2 5HP Duplex Pump Station)
Answer 3:
The product description has been updated. Please see section 3.1.2 of the Product Description for updated information.
Question 4:
What size is the Expansion Tank? Where on the skid is it to be located?
Furthermore…a drawing/sketch is required to accurately quote this system.
Answer 4:
There is not a size specification for the Expansion Tank. The expansion tank needs to be adequately sized to allow the system to operate as intended. The skid will be located house keeping pad located in the building. The maximum dimensions are outlined in section 3.1.2. The government does not have any drawing/sketch to provide.
Question 5:
Clarification on the request:
Total number of air compressor mention as 3 quantities.
Total number of air dryer mention was 1 quantity.
The Dryer mentioned on the RFQ – HBA1200, where the RS220i W125 output = 1500+CFM@ 125 psig. Which is 300 cfm more than the dryer capacity. We must resize the air dryer to accommodate 1500cfm or more.
Answer 5:
The correct number of Air Compressors is 3.
The correct number of Air Dryers is 1. The other two will be order under a separate project.
The RS220i (The Compressor) is rated for 1500 SCFM at sea level. Due to elevation at Hill Air Force Base (AFB). The compressor is de-rated to 1179 SCFM. All Compressors are given their rating at sea level as a baseline. This rating varies based on elevation. The HBA1200 is rated for 1200 SCFM. Hill Air Force Base runs the air pressure at no higher than 100 PSI this means it will be even lower Than 1179 SCFM coming from the compressor. The HBA1200 can accommodate the SCFM of the RS220i at Hill AFB elevation.
