Questions and Answers 6 January 2016
SUBJECT: FA8224-16-R-0039: Question(s) and Answer(s)
The manufacturers of the instruments in the kit were contacted for repair costs and supportability of the current kit contents. There are many instruments in the kit that are no longer available or repairable.
1. How does the Government want the bidders to address discontinued parts?
2. It is very likely that during the life of the contract, additional instruments will become unsupportable, how should this be addressed?
Answer to Both Question(s) 1 and 2.
The Government is asking for support of all parts and pieces needed to effectively support the LMSTAR test stations. The government asks that any interested party please provide a plan to address any discontinued/obsolete parts issues (question #1) as well as an alternative plan or suitable subs to alleviate any unsupportable instruments issues that arise (question #2).
