This office reviewed the referenced RFIs for the subject project and provided answers below.

Please forward to the contractor(s) for their use in preparing proposals

1. Request for information: Where is exact location for exhaust fan off of Walls. M101 shows fan location in-line with grid/column line with water line shut off valve. Ari and electric panel on wall, See attached photo :

Government Response: Locate exhaust fan to maintain code required clearances in front of existing panels. Indicate proposed location in ductwork shop drawings for review and approval.

(2) Request for information: Sheet M-501 has a detail for discharge air of Fan, what is the distance off floor, what distance off the floor is required height? direction of 45-degree elbow discharge into space?

Government Response: Terminate bottom of discharge 10’ AFF to the North.

(3) Request for information: Are fire dampers required?

Government Response: Yes. Original construction documents indicate 1 hour fire-rated CMU wall. Provide fire dampers in all ductwork penetrating the fire rated wall.

(4) Request for information: Are motorized dampers required when fans are not energized?

Government Response: No.

(5) Request for information: Will DALT testing be required on project?

Government Response: DALT is not required.

(6) Request for information: Does TAB need to be independent, or can a certified NEBB contractor perform TAB and work as one package for project?

Government Response: A firm certified by the AABC or NEBB is required to perform the TAB work.

(7) Request for information: On Specs provided, section 23 05 48.00 40 calls for vibration

$ Seismic Control, is the intent to provide this process or just the rubber vibration isolation (no spring isolation) and flexible connection on equipment and ductwork hang detail as shown on drawings S-101.

Government Response: The intent is for vibration isolation appropriate for the mass of the fans. Provide ductwork hang as detailed on sheet S-101.

(8) Request for information: On Sheet M-101, shows exhaust fan location in-line with grid/Column Line:

a. With Water Line/Shut-off Valve, Air Line and Electric panels on wall,

b. Where is exact location for exhaust fan off walls? See attached Picture

Government Response: Refer to response for Item #1.

(9) Request for information: Sheet M-501 has a detail for discharge air of Fan Government Response: Question is incomplete.

(10) Request for information: What distance off floor is required Height?

Government Response: Subject of question is unclear.

(11) Request for information: Direction of 45-degree elbow discharge into space?

Government Response: Subject of question is unclear.

(12) Request for information: Are Fire Dampers Required?

Government Response: Refer to response for Item #3.

(13) Request for information: Are Motorized Dampers required when fans are not energized?

Government Response: Refer to response for Item #4.

(14) Request for information: Does TAB need to be Independent or can a certified NEBB contractor perform TAB and work as one package for project.

Government Response: Refer to response for Item #6.

(15) Request for information: On Specs provided, section 23 05 48.00 40 calls for vibration

& Seismic Control, is the intent to provide this process or just the rubber vibration isolation (No Spring isolation) and Flexible connection on equipment and ductwork hanger detail as shown on drawings S-101 Government Response: Refer to response for Item #7.

(16) Request for information: Should UFGS Section 01 45 35 be added by TEPA to the specifications due to the requirement for special inspections listed on Sheet S-002?

Government Response: UFGS Section 01 45 35 can be added due to the fact it covers the inspection of cold-formed steel, reinforcement, connections, formwork and concrete.

(17) Request for information: Doesn’t the KTR need something to submit the SIOR qualifications against to TEPA for review, I.E. an item on the submittal register under the appropriate UFGS?

Government Response: KTR can refer to UFGS Section 01 45 35 for SIOR qualifications.

(18) Request for information: SOW 4.5(b) states that a structural engineer is required and does not need to be licensed in Oklahoma. Sheet S-002, Delegated Design, Note 1 clearly requires a structural engineer WITH an Oklahoma license. Which statement is true? Please advise.

Government Response: Since the ‘Order of Precedence’ has the ‘Drawings’ precedes the SOW in the hierarchy, the structural engineer is required to be licensed in Oklahoma.

(19) Request for information: E-101, Note 9 requires the KTR to ensure that the current grounding system in the building meets NEC 2022 requirements. How is the KTR supposed to do that without testing and incurring cost prior to any contract award?
