About this file
This is a Questions and Answers (QA) document for Air Force solicitation FA813226Q0048 regarding Reverse Osmosis Membrane Replacement (Service P26-054). The document addresses technical clarifications from prospective contractors regarding the two existing reverse osmosis systems requiring membrane replacement.
The solicitation covers two separate water treatment systems: System 1 is a Hausers Water System, Model MRO-576K-8H (Equipment ID OC20140), and System 2 is an L&T Technologies system, Model PROJECT 2663 (Equipment ID OC19792). Both systems utilize Codeline Model 80A30 side-ported pressure vessels manufactured by Pentair Water Treatment. System 1 currently has TFC Brackish 8" x 40" membranes (6 per housing) in 8" diameter x 6 foot long FRP housings rated at 300 PSIG design pressure, while System 2 has Filmtec BW30-400 High Rejection polyamide thin-film composite membranes (8.0" diameter x 40", Part Number 98650). The replacement membranes specified are 8" x 40" LP RO membranes with part number C004-02GMT. Associated vessel seals and O-rings include head seal 45354, permeate port seal 45342, and adapter seal 45308. The document was prepared by the contracting officer Marc J. Kreienbrink and contract specialist Kylie McMichael, with technical points of contact Mary Katherine Maraschick (Process Engineer) and Christopher Ray (Chemical Engineer) from PMXG/MXDECA.
