ACS Replacement Bldg 9001 and 3220 Questions and Answers

• The bill of materials lists a total of (51) P3245-V cameras with multiple mounting options – conduit back box, recessed mount, and pendant wall mount – in the same quantities. Are these meant to be options or are all mounts required?

This is what was provided as a solution to 76 SWEG for the 38th EIG/EN. The primary requirement is all equipment will need to be compatible with Genetec software for both cameras and ACS equipment.

• Is a backup battery (UPS) needed for the system being installed in either building? If so, how long does it need to run?

Back up batteries for the ACS system are needed but only need to have a 2hr back up time as the system is on the backup bus in both buildings.

• Apart from the 1U Racks specified on the bill of materials, is there rack space available in the rooms where rack-mounted equipment (switches, NVRs, etc.) is located?

76 SWEG has rack space to mount the requested equipment. If additional equipment is part of the winning contractor’s solution, we can accommodate. As long as, it is not an abundant amount of extra equipment. (i.e. 2 or 3 per building could be accommodated)

• Will new wiring have to be run for the readers, cctv cameras,POE switches?

New wiring will be needed for all POE Cameras and Switches. There may be some Cat6 needed for the ACS but there is NOT a need for the low voltage wiring to the readers.

• Is plenum wire acceptable?

Yes, required for all Comm Wiring inside a building

• Are any of the cctv cameras to be mounted higher than 10'?

Yes, and the Government WILL NOT provide any lifts.

• What height are the cameras over ten feet?

While I do not have an exact height the max height I can estimate is 50’ to the top of the building, The cameras should be mounted on the side of the building, so the 50’ should give a buffer.
