About this file
This document is an Industry Day Flyer for the KC-135 Commercial Access to Non-Secure Internet Protocol Router (NIPR) and Secure Internet Protocol Router (SIPR) (CANS) opportunity. The Air Force is seeking industry input on methods to deliver high-speed, reliable IP connectivity to KC-135 crewmembers via different SATCOM channels. The Industry Day event on April 11-12, 2024 will provide a platform for industry experts to propose innovative technological solutions, identify potential sources, exchange program and technical information, and network with government stakeholders. The goal is to enhance the KC-135's NIPR and SIPR connectivity by leveraging commercial SATCOM capabilities. The related federal contract opportunity, Solicitation Number FA810523R0006, is a pre-solicitation for the CANS upgrade to the 326 C/KC-135 aircraft. The system should provide seamless and resilient communications, including real-time situational awareness, mission planning, aeromedical support, and weather/airfield updates, with separated secure and non-secure IP stacks integrated with the RTIC-modified KC-135 platform.
