Questions and Answers Protective Coatings IDIQ – FA706022R0033 Attachment 12 20 July 2022
1. The Scope of work for the Hangar 1 Work includes: move furniture & equipment necessary to complete the work and move back into position when work is completed, The above statement contradicts with the notes on the Layout on the Power Point which states that all furniture, the occupants will move furniture and equipment at least 3 feet away from the walls. Please confirm whether the scope of the contractor includes moving the furniture and put it back in place or the occupants will be doing this.
A: Yes, we will need the contractor to move the furniture and put it back. See revised note on Attachment 8.
2. Most of the offices and certain areas have wall paper on the wall-Please clarify whether the contractor needs to remove the wallpaper, prime, texture and paint these areas or replace a similar wallpaper.
A: Yes they will need to remove wallpaper and prime and paint these areas. See Revised Attachment 7, paragraph 1.
3. The pricing is not clear as to the line items or unit pricing. It just has a unit price and amount. It is difficult to understand how to bid on this without referencing any items or quantities of description of the item. Could you please clarify?
A: Requesting a price for entire job. Price to be entered on Attachment 6 – FOPR for Seed Project.
4. Some of the furniture in the work area is modular and very difficult to move. Will the Government be moving these items?
A: No. See revised note on Attachment 8.
5. Will the existing vinyl wallcoverings need to be removed prior to painting or is it to be painted over?
A: See answer to question 2.
6. Can the doors that require refinishing be removed from the site in order for the existing paint to be removed?
A: Yes
7. Is the trim that requires stripping and refinishing include the door frames, casing, and base?
A: Yes. See Revised Attachment 7, paragraph 1.
