About this file

This document contains responses to questions regarding a Request for Quote from the Department of the Air Force for golf simulators and a putting lab at the US Air Force Academy. The responses indicate that several additional items are not required for the project, including flooring, curtain walls, custom lighting, computer monitors and accessories, golf tees, net return products, and protective cases for the launch monitors. However, third-party golf course software for $250 per year would be recommended for the intended use of the space. Projectors are also not recommended due to shadowing issues. Financing will not be provided by the government, and items from other countries must comply with DFARS regulations.

SUBJECT: Golf Simulators and Putting Lab Request for Quote FA700023Q0096 Requests for Information

Question 1: Are the following items required although not included in the attached Salient Characteristics list:

Flooring. I did include Black Turf installed on top of exercise mats for best overall performance and appearance (in the golf sim areas). Carpet Tiles installed in the hitting net areas. This will give the space an incredible look and not look unfinished or cheap. We included putting turf along with 6 holes in the putting/chipping area but none of that was really specified in the instructions.

Response: No

Curtain Wall Extension. For protection and privacy. This was between the 2 bays. There could also be curtains installed to separate the bays from the hitting net area.

Response: No

Custom Sim Light. Each golf simulator will have a custom overhead light for best overall performance (electrical not included).

Response: No

Computer monitor, keyboard, mouse included for each golf simulator.

Response: No

Computer desk PLUS cooling fans for each golf simulator. This is a must for protection and storage for the computer.

Response: No

K2 golf tees for each golf simulator.

Response: No

NET RETURN products for hitting nets.

Response: No

When I originally spoke with Wilma and John, they were wanting to use the space with golf courses as well. The third-party software, GSPro, is highly recommended for this and is only $250 per year. Running leagues and playing 18-holes (500 plus courses) makes this the best software in the industry and pairs seamlessly with Uneekor products. KEEP in mind, if you do want the GSPro Software, the computers would need to be upgraded a bit (not much).

Response: No

Uneekor has protective cases for the launch monitors. This is highly recommended as the units sit in front of the hitting area.

Response: No

In the Salient Characteristics, QED Marked Balls are included BUT you do not need them as they are for a different Launch Monitor that you're not using (QED).

Response: No

Projector Used. We do not recommend the projector because it will be mounted too far back and you will get major shadowing from the golfer. That projector works well in big spaces with ceiling heights of 12' or greater to get it above the golfer.

Response: No

Question 2: Will the Government provide contact financing?

Response 2: No.

Question 3: Are items from other countries that are not made in the U.S going to be an issue?

Response 3: Please refer to DFARS 252.225-7001 for additional information
