RFI/PWS Questions from Industry (LPG Solicitation FA700020R0019)
1. Is there any flexibility as to the "size of tank" for specific locations? e.g. Bldg. 730 currently has a 1000 gallon tank but only used 727.5 gallons in a one year period. Bldg. 740/750, with the exception of March, are reported to use less than 300 gallons per month per tank on average, while the Bullseye locations usage requirements could be covered with a 500 gallon tank based on the information provided.
ANSWER: Quotes shall be specified IAW SOW Rev 1.1 para 1.
2. Which firm is currently providing LPG to these locations and what contract number is providing the existing services?
ANSWER: Coyol International Group; Contract Number FA7000-14-D-0005
3. Are like-new white tanks acceptable?
ANSWER: Tanks specification should be new IAW SOW Rev 1.1 para 1. White-colored tanks are acceptable.
4. Can additional days be added to the transition schedule? This request is based on some of the Farish tanks that will be more difficult to remove now that they’ve been seen in person, and the time to pump out all of the tanks. One week may not be achievable based on these factors and on weather or vacation for employees. (CONS)
ANSWER: Transition time IAW SOW Rev 1.1, Para 1.1.6 “transition from existing tanks to new tanks shall be completed from 15 – 31 July 2020. All tanks must be transitioned out by 31 July 2020.”
5. Could we receive a schedule in order of importance of which tanks would need to be swapped out first?
ANSWER: No preference or specific order required. Contractors should determine most economical sequence and procedure for changing out tanks.
6. When will the award be announced? (CONS)
ANSWER: Award will be announced the beginning of July 2020.
