SUMMARY OF CHANGES
Updated requirements and delivery date Block 14 (Description of Amendment/Modification):
Project Overview & Physical Constraints The project requires welded weapon cabinets that are securely fastened to either the wall or the floor, in compliance with DOD 5100-76.M physical security standards. A key feature is that the cabinet doors must be compatible with padlocks for security.
The cabinets must adhere to strict height limitations within the armory. The maximum allowable height for cabinets placed against a wall is 96 inches due to ceiling beams.
In all other areas, the height must not exceed 88 inches to maintain clearance for the fire suppression systems.
Internal Configuration Regarding the interior of the racks, a fully slotted back panel for component adjustment is not a mandatory feature. All M4 rifles will be stored with top-mounted optics, which eliminates the need for double spacing between weapons. The preferred storage orientation is buttstock down, but an inverted position is also acceptable to accommodate space limitations. While preferable, retainer cords for the barrel saddles are not a strict requirement, and there is no need for individually adjustable barrel saddles as all weapons are of a uniform size.
Storage Specifications The storage plan specifies that no ammunition will be kept within the weapon racks. All magazines will be stored in a separate location, apart from the weapon racks. The required storage capacity is 1,469 M-18 magazines and 7,560 M-4 magazines.
