About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) Report for Solicitation No. FA6606-26-R-0007, titled "Repair Basketball Court B1700 YTPM 26-5001," requested by 439 CONF/PKB for KTR(s) on 30 April 2026. The RFI addresses 15 contractor questions regarding scope clarifications for the basketball court repair project. The scope of work encompasses sanding the entire gymnasium floor (wall to wall, approximately 108' x 70'), removal and reinstallation of three 20-foot-long bleacher sections, and work involving athletic floor inserts, sleeves, and cover plates. The Government will remove all equipment, furniture, and fixtures except the bleachers and foot-rails, which remain in place throughout construction. The Government will provide bleacher storage using either a conex box or tarps, along with electrical power, water, and utilities. The contractor is responsible for electrical cords and dumpsters. Work must commence within 10 calendar days of Notice to Proceed, defined as submission of required documentation and notifications.

Key clarifications address site conditions and construction logistics. The sanding area includes all wood flooring beneath bleachers, wall to wall. Two 20-meter HAMMR test lines will be positioned 1 foot from the end of the basketball court and 20 meters from that line. The Government is currently unaware of any floor damage or defects; any discovered during construction will be treated as unforeseen conditions. The fitness center will remain operational during construction, requiring submission of a dust and debris control plan for Government approval. A 240V 3-phase electrical panel is available in the basketball court area, with the contractor required to provide the necessary pigtail and specify required voltage and amperage. The RFI document indicates no potential cost or schedule impact from the contractor's inquiries.
