About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) report documenting contractor questions and government responses regarding Air Force contract FA6606-26-B-0002 for Repair Airfield Pavement Crack Seal, project YTPM 25-3002. The RFI was requested by 439 CONF/PKB for KTR(s) on 20 March 2026 and addresses clarifications on work specifications and execution requirements.

The five questions and responses cover critical project details: (1) the "not-to-exceed" refers to joint seal products as defined in SOW sections 1.B and 2.D; (2) joint sealant repairs must use hot-applied crack sealant conforming to ASTM D6690 per UFC 3-270-01, not cold-applied asphalt sealing; (3) the bid schedule is priced in linear feet (LF), derived from average crack width per gallon calculations per SOW section 2.D; (4) normal working hours are 7:30 am to 4:15 pm Monday through Friday excluding federal holidays, with contractors requiring seven days' advance written notice for work outside these hours; and (5) on the East Ramp, contractors will access the asphalt area adjacent to the concrete ramp with security barriers either moved for free access or remaining in place with contractor escort behind the restricted area line. The document notes that RFI responses do not authorize additional work and contractors must notify the Contracting Officer's Representative if responses constitute changed conditions.
