About this file

This document contains responses to a contractor's questions regarding solicitation number FA660623B0004 from the Department of the Air Force Reserve Command to repair the roof of building 5411 at MEPCOM Facility. The solicitation involves cladding the stucco portions of the building's parapet and front entrance in new metal panels. While the thickness of the existing stucco is unknown, a standard louver meeting wind-driven rain resistance requirements would be acceptable according to the specifications, rather than the extruded louver specified in the drawings. Additionally, the front of the building and columns are brick and are to remain as is - only the stucco portions of the parapet will be clad in new metal panels.

Thickness of the stucco is unknown.

A standard louver is acceptable as long as it meets the wind-driven rain resistance requirement.

Richard B. Colburn, Jr.

Chief of Design

It is the back side of the parapet that is stucco and will have new metal panels. The front side and columns are brick and to remain as is. Only the stucco portions are being clad in metal. The brick portion will remain brick.
