About this file

This is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) document for federal contract FA568226Q8004, addressing inquiries about translation services at Papa Air Base in Hungary. The total awarded contract amount is $72,600.00, with the incumbent contractor being BM SUPPORT & CONSULTING KORLATOLT FELELOSSEGU TARSASAG, located in Győr, Hungary, performing services under a contract period from October 2, 2020 to April 1, 2026. The Government cannot provide estimated budget ranges, IGCE data, or historical labor rates for reference.

The Q&A clarifies key operational and financial requirements for potential contractors. Minimum qualifications require only a high school diploma and one year of experience, with additional certifications optional but not required. The Government will not provide housing or lodging; contractors must cover these costs or include them in pricing. Approximately 90 percent of work occurs at Papa Air Base, with the remaining 10 percent involving day trips to Veszprem or Gyor. Travel within a 50-kilometer radius is the contractor's responsibility; travel beyond this radius receives Government transportation but contractors must cover meals, incidental expenses, and per diem. Overnight trips are not expected; if they occur, all associated costs are the contractor's responsibility. Contractors must assist US members and dependents in completing and accurately answering all questions required for VAT submissions to Hungarian tax authorities, though contractors are not required to physically submit packages.

4.Beyond the high school diploma and one year of experience required in the PWS, does the Government require or prefer any formal translator certifications, licenses, or accreditations (e.g., sworn translator status, Hungarian or EU-recognized credentials)?

- In accordance with the requirements of the solicitation, the Government does not require additional certifications, licenses, or accreditations beyond the high school diploma and one year of experience specified in the PWS. However, you are welcome to include such credentials in your proposal if you believe they add value.

5. Given that Papa Air Base is located in a rural area of Hungary, will the Government provide housing or lodging for translator personnel, or should housing costs be included in the contractor’s proposed pricing?
