FA568223Q0033 - Furniture for Dorms

Questions and Answer document

Question 1. CLIN 0007 SLAT BED ON METAL LEGS:

Does the bed remain the existing one or do we have to provide it ourselves?

If we have to supply the bed, do we just supply the slatted base like the existing one or does it have to have the back panel of the bed?

Below is a photo of the existing mesh backrest. In the request, however, only the network is asked, right?

I wanted to know if we also need to quote the headboard of the bed ( I do not see it in your request while I saw it today in the room )

Answer 1. The headboard is not needed, just provide the Slat Bed on Metal Legs as requested in the RFQ.

Question 2. CLIN 0007 SLAT BED ON METAL LEGS: 200cm x 90cm is fine as a net size?

FA568223Q003300001.

Question 4. CLIN 0005 SOLID HARD WOOD ONE DRAWER DESK W/FULL-WIDTH DRAWER: shall the requested desks have only a drawer and not a keyboard? Current desk has the keyboard holder.

Answer 4. Desks shall have a keyboard and not a drawer as previously requested. Please refers to CLIN 0007 of the amended RFQ FA568223Q003300001.

Please also see the following picture as a sample:

Question 5. We observed that the body and flaps are natural veneers on top of MDF, while the corners and curved parts are attached to the MDF in solid wood (a technique known as "masif" in Turkey, an older method). Solid wood strips of 2-3 cm are attached to the corners of raw MDF, sanded, and then a natural veneer is applied. Afterward, the entire furniture is polished. Should we follow the same approach in the new project, or should we opt for entirely solid panels?

If we go with solid panels, should the material thickness for shelves, boards, and vertical supports be 18mm or 25mm?

Answer 5. Question is not understandable since we don’t know what is MFD. We can confirm that furniture must be solid wood.

Question 6. In the provided photos, the second drawer module has a shelf module placed on top of it, but the measurements show that the shelf module is wider than the drawer module. Should the measurements be the opposite?

Question 10. To be able to quote and program the transport of new furniture and the emptying of existing ones, do you have a program?

Vendor can establish schedule of how many rooms they are able to accomplish each day.
