Ramstein 4th of July Electrical Installation

1. PWS, Paragraph 3.0 – What Government Property exactly is provided?

Response: Government equipment are the electrical distribution panels inside the electrical substations for supplying power. A forklift will also be provided.

2. Are theft-proof storage facilities available on site or must the contractor provide its own containers?

Response: No Government facility, for contractor use, will be provided.

3. How many electricians should be available on site?

Response: It is up to the contractor with how many people the Government’s need will be fulfilled, as per Performance Work Statement (PWS).

4. Who pays for damages of contractor property, such as damaged electrical material and electrical distribution boards, etc.?

Response: This is on the contractor’s risk, if it should happen proof needs to be provided and then negotiations will be done (after performance was provided).

5. Who provides the electrical supply/connection for WC containers?

Response: One of the awardees of the Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs).

The contractor who receives the placed call.

6. Will the Government provide a forklift?

Response: A forklift will be on site. Coordination between contractor and customer needs to be done in advance.

7. Is it possible to store all the electrical material in advance in a safe place on base?

Response: No Government facility, for contractor use, will be provided.

The parking lot will be closed. The contractor is allowed to store electrical material in the parking lot, the police will do routine checks.
