Solicitation #: FA561318R0010
Transportable Containerized Accomodation Kennel System (TCDA) for Military Working Dogs (MWD)
1. Q: Question #1: "RFQ disappeared from the FBO Platform. Is it still an ongoing RFQ with suspense for quotation by 29th June?"
A: RFQ is still ongoing with a new deadline of July 06, 2018 due to ammendment.
2. Q: Question #2: "Is there at the delivery destination from government side a forklift available for offloading?"
A: We have only a 10K forklift available. If the container does not exceed the weight, we can assist.
3. Q: Line Item 0002 requires pricing for an initial 12 month spares pack for the TCDA kennel; however, there is no information in the solicitation or in Exhibit A indicating what the spares pack consist of for delivery. Can you define what needs to be in the spares kit?
A: CLIN 0002 – Spares Pack is removed from the solicitation
4. Q: Could you also please provide a specification of your requirements for non-contaminating kennel flooring and walls?
A: The inner walls, ceiling and floor of the containers need to be insulated with suitable insulation. The walls and ceiling need to be equipped with a robust smooth surface to present a tough hard wearing & easily maintained surface which is impervious to dog urine. All horizontal to vertical joints are sealed to prevent leakage of fluids into the under floor of the container. area floors are pitched at an angle of 5° to allow for the run off of fluids into central drainage channels
5. Q: Could you please specify the required working capacity of the HVAC unit? Since the container will be used in Germany we recommend a standard unit with a capacity from -20° to +40°C A: The environmental performance characteristics of the system are: Operating range of: -19C to +49C; maintains a minimum internal temperature of 10 degree Celsius, provides a cooling effect of 5C to 10C lower than the ambient external temperature. Internal temporary kennel temperature must be maintained between 45 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit with humidity from 40- 70%.
6. Q: In the G3 Systems datasheet the containers are DROPS containers. Will this be required and if so, could you please specify your exact needs?
A: Not sure what a DROPS container is; however we would need a Container/mobile facility to house Military Working Dogs. This unit needs to be custom built to house 6 canines in a climate-controlled environment with integral wash down and waste collection systems, within a temporary location. Needs to be capable of being stored for lengthy periods to satisfy high readiness states and is provisioned to a scale which complements the formation readiness cycle. A self-contained fold-out unit, to include all elements of which are packed integrally during transportation to achieve deployability and flexibility of use. The 6-dog configuration needs to provide the optimum living space whilst accommodating exercise areas, storage space and canine sleeping areas.
The key features are : controlled secure kennel, controlled internal sleeping area, secure external exercise areas allowing the handler to secure the dog outside during cleaning, Internal food preparation area, simplified cleaning regime with integral wash down and waste collection systems for proper sanitation and hygiene. All efforts need to be made to secure the dog and to prevent any
7. Q: The electrical installation of the G3 Systems is according to the British guideline
BS7671 17th edition, could we differentiate from this and equip according to German standards?
A: All electrical installation should be 230Volts, European standard.
