ANSWER: No, it is the contractors responsibility to protect motors properly to avoid any damages.

20. QUESTION: In the event that a fan gets damaged during a cleaning (bearing damage or power shortage), is the contractor forced to provide repair or replacement? If so, how long would be the response time for repair or at least provide a temporary kind to allow cooking, means to install a temporary fan during the time the original fan or motor gets repaired/replaced?

Fire department inspections:

21. QUESTION: Is the contractor required to open ALL available access hatches for the Fire Inspector if told so? In example the system has 10 access hatches, however the cleaning crew feels to open only 5 of them is sufficient, does we would have to open them all for inspection?

ANSWER: Yes, all access hatches must be open.

22. QUESTION: Are there any historical files available of how long an acceptance inspection conducted through the Fire Inspector may take? This is important to know as it is a significant price factor, i.e. if a cleaning takes 3 hours and the afterwards inspection for acceptance takes additional 2 hours?

If so, does the power supply cable has to disconnected/reconnected by a certified electrician (to be provided through the contractor)?

ANSWER: Yes, the fans have to be removed or put aside to allow the Fire Inspector´s inspection. In accordance with the PWS paragraph 1.1.4. and 1.1.5. the contractor is responsible to disconnect/reconnect the power supply cable through a certified electrician, if necessary.
