FA5587-16-R-C001 – CCTV Installation
Questions & Answers
1) If the fiber cabling is nonoperational, who is responsible for the fix; the awarded contractor or the Government?
Answer: The Government. The 48th Civil Engineering Squadron will be in charge of power and the 48th Communications Squadron will be in charge of fiber (unless it’s old copper that belongs to BT).
2) When will all the locations of the 28 downed cameras be identified?
Answer: Once the contract is awarded, all locations will be identified. At these locations, the awardee will be required to test and identify power and fiber operability. The awardee must notify the 48th Security Forces Squadron, the requiring activity, if the given location has the necessary support (power/fiber) to accept an operational camera.
3) Is this a new requirement for the Government?
Answer: For Royal Air Force Base Lakenheath and Calendar Year 2016, it is.
***As a reminder, in order to be considered for award, contractors must be registered and up-to-date in sam.gov***
