About this file

This Memorandum for Record (MFR) details a Department of the Air Force solicitation (FA524025Q0050) for transporting 26 military vehicles from Andersen Air Force Base (AAFB) to Defense Logistics Agency Distribution (DLADS) at Naval Base Guam. The vehicle inventory includes diverse equipment such as flatbed trailers, bulldozers, forklifts, trucks, and specialized vehicles like a Condor Hi-reach Truck and Patient-lift Truck, with weights ranging from 1,000 to 59,000 pounds and varying dimensions. Key contract requirements include a 21-day timeline for vehicle evacuation from award date, a site visit on 12 August, and specific delivery constraints, such as all vehicles must be offloaded by 1100 on their appointment day or risk non-acceptance by DLA.

The solicitation specifies that all vehicles have been pre-drained of fluids and will be transported across a terrain described as a "rough blend of gravel and dirt". Crane operations at Andersen AFB have no significant restraints, but crane operations at Naval Base Guam must be routed through their crane program. Operators have flexibility in scheduling but must ensure timely delivery, with site visits at AAFB confirmed and Naval Base Guam visits available by appointment only. The total vehicle count is 26, representing a mix of military and support vehicles that will be transported within the specified 21-day window following contract award.
