About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for federal solicitation FA521526Q0026 regarding a Firearm Training System. The document addresses clarifications on two key requirements.
The first question-answer clarifies that the solicitation seeks a system capable of supporting multiple simultaneous operators, specifically more than two personnel per scenario, with the primary use case being fire team tactics instruction for four-person standard fire teams. The second question-answer establishes that the government is seeking an Augmented Reality (AR) training system rather than Virtual Reality (VR), as they currently possess a VR system and require AR for Use of Force training where the real environment in which operators are located must be integrated into their decision-making process—a capability that VR cannot provide.
