About this file

This is a Requests for Information (RFIs) document for a zipline demolition project at a federal facility. Sixteen RFIs were submitted between July 1 and July 10, 2026, with responses provided by July 13, 2026.

The project involves the complete demolition and removal of an existing zipline structure from a playground area, including removal of embedded concrete support post footings and repair of the artificial turf surface. Key requirements include: obtaining a base dig permit if concrete footings are completely removed; cutting support posts below the turf line and repairing the surface to a safe, even condition free of hazards; providing replacement surfacing material that matches existing color and texture where possible but must meet safety standards; maintaining access to the main playground during demolition; restricting staging and dumpsters to an adjacent parking lot; and limiting work to daytime and weekend hours only to avoid neighborhood disturbance. Contractor personnel must obtain government access passes, complete access request forms, provide Real ID copies, and pass background checks free of felonies. Subcontracting is permitted. The government will not provide replacement materials; this cost must be included in the contractor's proposal. Inspection criteria focus solely on achieving a smooth, safe surface free of hazards rather than matching original specifications.
