About this file
The document is a Salient Characteristics specification for a Computed Radiography Unit for the Department of the Air Force Pacific Air Forces. The detailed requirements outline specific technical specifications for a comprehensive radiography system, including a Computed Radiography Reader compatible with Air Force's Automated Computed Radiography Evaluation Software, a desktop computer, a 3 MP high-resolution monitor, transport cases, and multiple imaging plates of varying sizes (14x17IN and 8x10IN) with high and ultra-high resolution capabilities.
Additional required components include flexible and rigid cassettes, a cassette extraction tool, digital plate carrier, screen cleaners, an SPR-ARINC Aerospace Phantom for quarterly process controls, aluminum absorber plates, and an Image Quality Indicator Set. The system must be installable in an 11x18 ft room with a 110v outlet, with vendor-provided installation and training spanning two 8-hour days. The specific technical requirements emphasize precise imaging capabilities for crack detection and welder certification, with a focus on preserving maximum object information during radiographic processes.
