About this file
This document is a set of Questions and Answers (Q&A) related to a federal contract opportunity for an F-117 Jet Engine Trailer Mover. The key details are:
The federal contract opportunity is a Request for Quote (RFQ) with Solicitation Number FA521524Q0018, issued by the Department of the Air Force Pacific Air Forces. The requirement is for the purchase of F-117 jet engine trailer movers, with a tentative purchase date in late September 2024. The government currently moves the trailers using a borrowed bobtail, but needs a more permanent solution as they do not have enough personnel to move the 30,000 lb engines and trailers by hand. The government needs the ability to push, pull, or both with the new equipment. They currently move 1-5 trailers per 8-hour shift, on a clean, level, and flat surface with inclines no more than 4 inches. The solicitation is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS code 333924 with a 900-employee size standard. Responses and questions are due by September 26, 2024 at 12:00 PM HST, and should be submitted electronically to the identified Contract Specialist and Contracting Officer.
