About this file
This document appears to be a set of Salient Characteristics for a Vesta 911 solution required for a federal contract opportunity. The key details are:
The Vesta 911 solution must be the latest version to ensure compatibility with the currently installed Fire Department infrastructure. It must be a JITC approved Command and Control (C2) solution that provides critical communications elements, including telephony call processing and conference bridging. The solution shall be geo-diverse and inherently redundant, scaled to support base-wide capabilities. The existing VESTA backroom servers will be upgraded as part of this solution, which will expand the existing e911 capabilities to include Conference Management.
The proposed solution shall include conferencing capabilities and interface directly to the base Central Office Private Branch Exchange (PBX), eliminating the need for a new dedicated PBX. Each C2 Console will include a Windows 10 LTSC computer workstation with a 24-inch touch screen monitor, mouse, keyboard, 24-button keypad, speakers, PTT handset/headset, and UPS. The solution shall be highly expandable to support up to 250 operator consoles, multiple agencies/organizations, and hundreds of lines/trunks.

The existing VESTA system is designed for critical First Responder Telephone e911 capabilities, and this upgrade shall expand that capability to now include Conference Management.
The solution’s communications system telephony servers shall be inherently redundant and installed in a geo-diverse configuration. Each Host server shall be capable of handling the full system load in the event one becomes inoperable.
The proposed solution shall include conferencing and shall interface directly to the base Central Office Private Branch Exchange (PBX) eliminating the need for a new dedicated PBX.
The proposed system shall provide the Command Post and system administrators with the ability to customize the user experience based on criticality, mission focus, comfort, and preference.
The solution shall be highly expandable and support up to 250 operator consoles, multiple agencies/organizations, and hundreds of lines/trunks.
Each system (C2 Console) will include at a minimum; one (1) C2 console, Windows 10 Long-Term Servicing Channel (LTSC) computer workstation equipped with a 24-inch touch screen monitor, a mouse, keyboard, 24-button Genovation Keypad, two (2) desktop speakers, one (1) Push-to-Talk (PTT) telephone handset, one (1) Push-to-Talk (PTT) headset, and an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) with minimum runtimes of 20 minutes.
