SUBJECT: Market Research for Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineering Requirements (SABER), Yokota

Air Base, Japan

The objective of this Market Survey is to determine if like or similar work for SABER at Yokota Air Base is customarily available in the Japanese commercial market and to determine the most suitable method for acquiring such construction work. Please answer the following questions by marking “YES” or “NO”, with its reasoning, the alternate plan, and the description of services as requested. The market research and information you provide in response to this survey will only be used by the US Government and WILL NOT be shared with other contractors or organizations outside of the US Government. We greatly appreciate your inputs.

Requirement: This Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineering Requirements (SABER) contract consists of, but is not limited to, a broad range of maintenance, repair, and minor construction work on real property at

Yokota Air Base and at off-base sites around the Kanto Plain. This is an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity

(IDIQ) type contract and lists a wide variety of individual construction tasks as listed in a Unit Price Book

(UPB) or other pricing guide for design and construction efforts. Construction projects will be awarded by individual task orders on an as-needed basis. All work shall be in conformance with the requirements of the contract, to include, but not limited to, furnishing all materials, labor, plant, tools equipment, transportation, supervision, management, other services (including engineering and technical design support), and incidentals necessary for the successful completion of issued task orders.
