Question #1: How will the water tank be filled?
Answer #1: The water tank is approximately 3.2 meters high, and the lid to fill it is located on top. The contractor needs to possess the capability to fill the tank from the top by their own means.
Question #2: How many users does the Government expect at any given time?
Answer #2: A rough estimate is 100 personnel on site, which will fluctuate over time, and on weekends and holidays, when usage is expected to be significantly less. The exact number of users at any given time is not known.
Question #3: For the purposes of developing quotations, how much water will be used, how much effluent will be generated, and how often will the tanks need to be serviced?
Answer #3: Offerors should refer to the Performance Work Statement when developing their proposal.
Specifically, paragraphs 1.1.1. and 1.1.2. outline estimated quantities of water and effluent, and appendices A & B outline the quantity and frequencies of service visits. PLEASE NOTE:
These numbers are estimates, and may fluctuate based on unanticipated changes once contract performance begins.
Question #4: Will the contractor be able to use the janitorial room in the facility to store equipment?
Answer #4: Yes. The Government will provide this space to the contractor as Government Furnished
Property, which will be reflected in an amendment to the Performance Work Statement.
Question #5: How will the contractor access the effluent tank at the bottom of the hill?
Answer #5: The contractor bears the responsibility of removing the effluent without damage to
Government property, by the most economical and efficient means available.
