About this file
This document outlines the minimum salient characteristics for a dual laser engraver system to be procured by a federal agency. The equipment must meet or exceed the specifications of the Epilog Fusion Pro 36 and must be new, not refurbished, with all technical documentation and user interfaces provided in English. The system must incorporate both CO2 and fiber laser capabilities within a single integrated unit, though separate systems will still be considered for award. The fiber laser must be capable of permanently etching polished metals and reflective materials, while the CO2 laser must engrave plastics, acrylics, and canvas, as well as cleanly cut foam for toolbox shadow boards. The equipment must include an integrated camera system for precision alignment preview during engraving operations and all standard accessories necessary for operation.
The equipment must operate on 121/210 voltage at 50Hz, with a recommendation from the facility's Chief Engineer to use a 60–80-watt machine compatible with the building's electrical panel, which supplies 121v with three spare 20-amp breakers. Submissions exceeding the power limit of the outlet will not be accepted. Additional requirements include a minimum two-year warranty (preferred), Trade Agreements Act (TAA) compliance, compliance with all applicable federal and industry safety standards for laser operation, and either standard Japanese two-prong plugs (preferred) or three-prong plugs. Equivalent products that meet or exceed these salient characteristics are acceptable for award consideration.

Minimum Salient Characteristics
The equipment shall, at a minimum:
• Meet or exceed the salient characteristics of the Epilog Fusion Pro 36 (power requirements not included, see below for power requirement instructions)
• Be new, not refurbished.
• Technical specifications, documentation, and user interfaces shall be provided in English.
• Performance requirements:
1. Dual Laser System: Must incorporate both CO2 and Fiber laser capabilities within a single, integrated unit. Separate systems will still be considered for award.
2. Fiber Laser Capability: Must be capable of permanently etching polished metals and reflective materials.
3. CO2 Laser Capability: Must be capable of engraving plastics, acrylics, and canvas, as well as cleanly cutting foam for toolbox shadow boards.
4. Must feature an integrated camera system to provide precision and exact alignment preview during engraving operations.
• Include all standard accessories necessary for operation and execution of it’s intended use.
• Include a warranty (minimum 2 years preferred).
• Must be Trade Agreements Act (TAA) compliant
• Comply with all applicable federal and industry safety standards for laser operation.
• Preferred plug is the standard Japanese plugs (two prong), but three prong can be accepted.
Note: Equivalent products that meet or exceed these salient characteristics are acceptable.
Power Requirements:
The building accepts 121/210 voltage at 50Hz. Any laser engraver that will work with an outlet at this power level can be accepted.
Note from CE on the power capabilities at the location:
“The main electrical panel supplies 121v and the panel currently has 3 spare breakers at 20 amps each. My recommendation would be to use the 60–80-watt machine.”
Do not submit items that would exceed the power limit of the outlet.
