About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document addressing contractor inquiries about an Arctic Medical Subject Matter Expert (SME) training requirement. The Q&A clarifies that contractors are not required to provide or store cadavers, though SMEs must have experience working with them. Contractors are only responsible for providing cold weather sustainment gear for their own personnel, and only need to supply medical training supplies required for student instruction. The document relates to solicitation FA500425Q0006 for the Department of Air Force Pacific Air Forces.

The associated contract opportunity requires two subject matter experts in austere/extreme cold weather medicine to provide classes, practical exercises, and medical survival training for Special Operations Forces Arctic Medic 2025 (SOFAM 25). The SMEs will also serve as "white cell" evaluators during training environments, providing scenario injects and assessing trainee interventions.
