About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for an Arctic Medical SME Training solicitation issued by the Department of the Air Force Pacific Air Forces. The Q&A clarifies that contractors are not required to provide or store cadavers for training, though they must be experienced in working with them. It also confirms that contractors only need to provide cold weather sustainment gear for their own personnel.
The related solicitation (FA500425Q0006) requires two subject matter experts in austere/extreme cold weather medicine to provide classes, practical exercises, and medical survival training equipment for Special Operations Forces Arctic Medic 2025 (SOFAM 25). The contractors will also serve as "white cell" personnel during training environments, providing training injects, assessing trainee interventions, and giving feedback on physiological responses to treatments.
