Appendix # 2

1.0 DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:

1.1 OVERVIEW OF SERVICES REQUIRED: Provide all tools, materials, equipment and personnel necessary to install draperies in 96 rooms.

1.2 SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: The preferred Drapery manufacturer is Thomas W.

Rafferty. The requirement consists of the drapes with blackout lining for 96 rooms located on CAFS, AK.

1.2.1 The drapery package is comprised of acquiring and install new drapes. The package includes drapes for 96 rooms that have windows that are 47.5”H x 33-3/4”W. Drapes must be of the same style and use the same hardware that is already in place. The rod that is in place is 52” long and mounted to on the wall, 4” above the window; the current drapes panel Size 56”wide x 58” long (X 2 = 192 panels). Pictures can be provided upon request.

1.2.2 Provide samples for final selection after contract award.

1.2.3 Drapery must meet the following requirements:

Consider solar conditions when selecting a window treatment. All window treatments must pass NFPA 701, Standard Methods of Fire Tests for Flame Propagation of Textiles and Films. Fabrics for draperies will be inherently flame-retardant. The drapery blackout lining will be sewn to the finished drapery treatment. Installation of blackout linings is a must.

a. One layer drapery fabric and one layer blackout lining sewn together.

b. Hook system

c. Fabric color (Beige, see attached picture).This needs to be approved.

d. Fullness should be equal to the width of the current panel

e. Must be 3 inches above the window and the 9 inches below the window sill and stack back to expose the entire window when open.

f. Bottom hems to be 4” wide

h. Covered lead weights in corner of each panel.
