About this file
This is a Sources Sought Response Table used by the Department of the Air Force Pacific Air Forces to solicit information from vendors regarding their capabilities to provide a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM)/Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) 3D printer system. Responses are due by 4 September 2026 at 1:00 PM AKDT/5:00 PM EST and should be submitted via email to Jarod L. Lemke (jarod.lemke.1@us.af.mil) or John F. Gosh, Jr. (john.gosh@us.af.mil) using the subject line "Sources Sought Response: Deployable 3D Printer System - [Vendor Name]." The Government is particularly seeking small businesses, including Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOBs), Women-Owned Small Businesses (WOSBs), and HubZone Small Businesses, classified under NAICS code 333248.
Interested firms must submit a Capability Statement detailing corporate information (company name, UEI, CAGE Code, point of contact details), business size designation, and identification of any existing government-wide acquisition contracts under which the equipment is available (such as GSA MAS or NASA SEWP). Vendors must complete a technical compliance matrix confirming whether their proposed 3D printer meets specific hardware minimum requirements, including 110-120V/50-60Hz power supply, fully enclosed and actively heated chamber, auto-changeover capabilities, precision layer thickness range, dual support options (breakaway and soluble), dedicated extrusion modules for thermoplastics/carbon fiber/elastomers, and support for materials including ABS, ABS-CF, ASA, PC-ABS, Nylon CF, Mineral Nylon, and TPU. Additional requirements include licensed file processing software, vendor warranty terms, full machine assembly and testing, operational training, initial consumable kit (ABS, support material, build sheets, thermoplastics extrusion heads), and availability of an additional material kit. Vendors must also provide up to three contract numbers demonstrating prior experience supplying similar systems and support services to government, military, or industrial clients within the past three years, along with a description of their ability to provide technical support, hardware maintenance, and consumables replenishment to expeditionary and remote locations.
