About this file

This document is a Salient Characteristics specification for three Bobcat Toolcat utility work machines, detailing specific requirements for each model's capabilities and features. Toolcat 1 is focused on snow removal, requiring compatibility with existing implements, a 4,200 lb load capacity, diesel power, four-wheel steering, and a 96" snowblade attachment. Toolcat 2 and 3 are multi-use utility work machines with similar core specifications, including a minimum 60 horsepower engine, all-wheel steering, four-wheel drive, 2,000 lb cargo box capacity, 1,500 lb lift arm capacity, hydraulic dump cargo box, and 3,000 PSI auxiliary hydraulic pressure.

Both Toolcat 2 and 3 emphasize cold weather capability with block heaters and enclosed cabs, comprehensive road safety features, and attachment versatility. Toolcat 2 specifically requires compatibility with existing Bobcat Toolcat attachments like "V" plow blade, brush/broom fixture, and dozer blade, while Toolcat 3 boasts the ability to operate over 45 attachments. Both models are designed for multi-purpose use including snowplow, snow blower, and forklift applications, with Toolcat 3 adding a requirement for a local retailer/vendor capable of providing technical support, parts, and repair services.
