Attachment 1 – Statement of Objectives

Industrial Washer

2 July 2025

1. The Government requires an industrial washer/extractor (washer) that meets the following Salient Characteristics:

a. Voltage – 220 to 240

b. Circuit Breaker – 100 to 150 AMPs

c. Hz – 50 to 60

d. Wires: 3

e. Phase: 3

f. Minimum load – 450 lbs

g. Max speed – 590 RPMs

h. Shall have at least 30 cycles with different cylinder speeds for various cycles that range from as low as 34 RPMs to at least 590 RPMs

i. Extract 320g minimum

j. Door opening of at least 40 inches

k. The cylinder volume shall be at least 75 cu ft

l. Shall have 2-rear drains: diameter of 8 inches

m. Shall have a water inlet connection of 2 inches

n. Shall have a steam hook up of 1 ¼ - 1 ½ inches

o. Width: 96 – 106 inches

p. Depth (length): 90 – 114 inches

q. Can not exceed measurement requirements

r. Must have 2-way tilt

s. Must be able to hook up to the chemical injection system already in place

2. Installation

The Government further requires that the Contractor provide all necessary supervision, labor, travel, materials, tools, equipment, accessories and other items necessary to safely complete the removal of the old washer and the installation of the new washer. This includes any necessary testing of all installed components.

2.1 Old Washer:

2.1.1 The Government requires removal of the existing washer.

- This will require forklift that lifts 18,000 – 22,000 lbs for removing old, existing washer, taking it out of the building via center loading bay, and staging it on a flatbed trailer (Government provided) in front of building 726.

- The yellow safety railing will need to be removed, but the removal must not damage or alter the concrete it is attached to.

2.2 New Washer:

2.2.1 Concrete Considerations.

- The current washer has a concrete ramp in front of the machine.

- Quoted washer must fit in the existing area without the need to remove or alter the existing concrete ramp. No alterations to the facility will be permitted.
