About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for the 525 Fighter Squadron Flooring/Carpet Replacement project dated 12 May 2025. The Q&A addresses key contractor inquiries about the project, including furniture movement logistics, project timeline, and installation requirements. Notably, the original 45-calendar-day delivery period was extended to 60 days after receipt of order (ARO) in response to a contractor's concern about material lead times and furniture relocation responsibilities.
The Q&A provides clarification on several critical project details: furniture will be moved into hallways due to limited storage areas, no specific adhesive requirements exist beyond maintaining flooring quality, and the exact start date will be coordinated with end users after contract award. The document references Attachment 7 – Price Schedule for pricing information, indicating contractors should refer to that document for submission purposes. The project involves flooring replacement at a military facility, with the contractor responsible for removing old carpet and installing luxury vinyl tile.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
525 FIGHTER SQUADRON FLOORING/CARPET REPLACEMENT
12 MAY 2025
Q1. Will the facility provide an area to store all the furniture?
A1. We are limited in available areas to move furniture. This will require some planning to minimize disruption to daily operations. Moving furniture out of the rooms into the hallways will likely be the most practical option.
Q2. The solicitation states a 45-calendar-day delivery period. Given that our lead time for materials is approximately 3 weeks, and the contractor is responsible for moving furniture during the flooring installation, we believe this timeframe is insufficient to complete the project. Would it be possible to extend the period of performance?
A2. Delivery period is amended to 60 days ARO.
Q3. What type of adhesive is specified for the LVT installation?
A3. No requirements; requesting adhesive materials that will not negatively impact flooring quality.
Q4. Could you provide the project timelines, including the start date and duration of the job?
A4. The exact start date will be coordinated with end users after award is made. The requested job duration is 60 days from receipt of award.
Q5. The solicitation documents mention a price schedule, but I have not seen one provided. Could you please furnish the pricing schedule so we can submit our price accordingly?
A5. Please see Attachment 7 – Price Schedule
