Questions and Answers for Solicitation FA5000-24-Q-0077 JBER Kodiak Child Development Center Intercom replacement.

Q. Are there Buy America/TAA requirements?

A. See Clause- 52.225-1, Buy American-Supplies (OCT 2022)

Q. Is there a specific equipment manufacturer that the facility desires to use?

A. No

Q. There is a column on Attachment 1 that indicates the existing system has some speakers that have 2-way capabilities. Does the facility want to retain those capabilities or will this be a 1-way only paging system.

A. None of the current equipment will be reused.

Q. Is there a need to have call switches in the classrooms to allow the room to call the main desk?

This will require 2-way speakers in all classrooms or areas that would have call switches.

A. 2-way speakers, so the rooms can talk back.

Q. Section 4.8.2 References loudspeaker column arrays- where are these to be installed? These are not typical speakers that are used with a paging system.

A. The Government wants the ability to page through the system. No loudspeaker is needed.

Q. Will an IP based solution be allowed for the paging system? These systems typically have integral DSP control and audio routing and will allow for a simple user interface and headend.

A. Paging will be on a standalone system and not an IP based.

Q. Are Zones required.

A. Yes Zones are needed

Q. Is the Kodiak CDC Counter the same thing as the control desk?

A. Yes, the CDC counter is the control desk

Q. Will the speaker specifications in sections 4.8.1 and 4.8.9 change when the amendment for the 2-Way Speakers comes out?

A. 2 Way speakers is required.

Q. Does the amplifier need to be rated for 4x1500 Watts @ 2 Ohms/4Ohms or 1,600 Watts Per Channel @ 2 Ohms?

A. No. Industry can provide the correct recommendation for intercoms.

Q. Would you mind considering removing the requirement to submit design drawings and wiring diagrams?

A. Yes Offers are not required to submit design drawings and wiring diagrams?
