Kodiak CDC Changing Table Questions and Answers
Q1. Are there only 3 existing changing stations to be removed, two in room 15 and one in room 9?
A1. In Room 9 existing changing station will be removed and in room 15 two changing statin will be removed.
Q2. Will furniture in rooms be cleared from the work areas; or is that the responsibility of the contractor?
A2. Contractors will move furniture and equipment out of the room while working in the designated area. The center POC will designate where items can be stored.
For the items that cannot be moved the contractors will cover with drop cloth or similar protective layering.
Q3. In Room 5, is the water fountain being replaced or demo’d?
A3. The water fountain will be demo’d with the sink.
Q4. Does the current stations in Rooms 5, 9 and 15 sit on the floor or will there be vinyl flooring repair when those come up?
A4a. It is unknown if the tables are currently sitting on top of vinyl flooring. Any floor that becomes exposed as a result of installing new changing tables must be replaced with vinyl flooring to match existing flooring.
A4b. Do you have surplus vinyl floor in storage?
There is no extra vinyl flooring available from government. The contractor will provided additional vinyl flooring as required.
Q5. Is there any known asbestos?
A5. Asbestos testing was conducted on the walls. There was no asbestos found in walls.
