Supplemental Information Thank you for your interest in the Alaska Radar System sources sought announcement. The Government has received several e-mail questions in regards to this announcement; however, the original sources sought notice released on 7 May 2013 did not address whether the Government would be accepting questions from industry or not. As a result, the Government is hereby providing the following information to supplement the original sources sought notice.
-The existing ARS contract will expire on 30 September 2014 and the Government is anticipating award of the new ARS requirement in Fiscal Year 2016 (upon completion of the EPRP). No formal decision has been made for the continuation of services required between 2014 and 2016; however, the Government will publicize information pertaining to this decision as soon as it becomes available.
-The Government does not have an approved release date for the solicitation.
-In regards to specific experience/capabilities to support the AN/FPS-117 Radar System, the Government is only conducting market analysis at this time. Industry input is highly desired and all technically related experience/capabilities will be considered in order to maximize participation leading to development of the Government’s acquisition approach. No preference, bias, or partiality is given to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and/or incumbent contractor. This announcement is not a solicitation and no contract awards will be made from this notice.
-Hard copy print is the preferred method for responses to the sources sought notice; however, electronic submittal is acceptable and all submissions are due NLT June 5, 2013, at 11:59 pm Alaska standard time.
