Questions and Answers Solicitation FA5000-08-R-0019
As of 28 August 2008
Q: In section 52.222-42 (page 106), where did the Monetary Wage and Fringe Benefits rates come from? These rates are much higher than what we are required to pay according to the attached SCA Wage Determination in Attachment 2.
A: The rates come from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management salaries and wages (http://www.opm.gov/). They are provided for your information in accordance with the Service Contract Act of 1965. Please read the clause carefully.
Q: Are the rates listed in 52.222-42 the rates that current employees in these categories are currently being paid?
A: Wages paid to current employees are the incumbent contractor’s proprietary information and are not releasable by the government.
Q: How many employees in each category are currently employed by the contractor?
A: This is the incumbent contractor’s proprietary information and is not releasable by the government.
Q: Is there required inventory management software (outside of ACES) and is it provided by the Air Force?
A: All requirements regarding inventory management software are as stated in the solicitation.
Q: Is the forklift provided by the government?
A: See performance work statement appendix 9-B.
Q: Is there a specific supplier for appliances that the Air Force requires the contractor to use?
A: No.
Q: Does the Air Force provide Virtual MPF training to employees?
A: No formal training is offered. Since contractor access to the system is limited, the Air Force provides employees on-the-job (OJT) training to become proficient.
Q: Does the Air Force provide the IMT Viewer Software in order to fill out AF Form 228?
A: AF Form 228 is generated by ACES-FM and does not require the use of IMT Viewer software.
Q: Is there a specific carpet vendor and carpet type required?
A: No specific carpet vendor is required. See the performance work statement for carpet specifications.
Q: Is there a specific paint vendor required?
A: No.
Q: How many total employees are currently employed by the current contractor?
A: This is the current contractor’s proprietary information and is not releasable by the government.
