The solicitation requires a Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) circuit delivering a minimum of two (2) Gigabyte per second (GBPS) of commercial internet access via fiber optic transport to Building 610. Current providers Lumen and Zito are already servicing the base. The Government will provide existing WiFi infrastructure including routers, access points, cables, and network switches, and will be responsible for their installation and maintenance. The contractor must provide a single circuit with one diverse carrier, with the installation address at 355 Liberator Mountain Home AFB, Idaho 83648. Questions and Answers
366 OG WiFi
FA489725QC053
Question 1: We see Lumen and Zito as current providers on the base. Is this correct and do you currently have service from both? We would like to utilize known vendors for our response. If there are others, please advise.
Answer 1: Lumen and Zito are the current providers on base and both provide service.
Questions 2: We would appreciate clarification on” deliver and install a minimum of two
(2) Gigabyte per second (GBPS) of Commercial internet access via fiber optic transport”
-Does this mean 2 separate circuits?
-Would you require 2 diverse carriers?
Answer 2: This is only for one (1) circuit as well as one (1) diverse carrier.
Questions 3: Is there a Publicly resolvable address for “Building 610”? Maybe there is a public demarc at 366 Gunfighter or 355 Liberator?
Answer 3: 355 Liberator Mountain Home AFB, Idaho 83648
Question 4: Is this a requirement for a DIA (Dedicated Internet Access) circuit, or business-class internet service?
Answer 4: This requirement is for a DIA (Dedicated Internet Access) circuit.
Question 5: Based on the PWS, is only internet service required, or is Wi-Fi service also included?
Answer 5: The internet service will be connected to a router and the router will connect to a switch, which will have the access point connected to the switch to provide WiFi.
Question 6: Will the contractor be responsible for maintaining any Wi-Fi infrastructure, such as access points, switches, or cabling etc.? If so, could you please provide detailed information regarding the quantity and types of equipment that need to be maintained?
Answer 6: No, the Government currently has the access points, switches etc… in place and will be responsible for maintaining them.

Question 7: Will the contractor also be responsible for the installation of any access points, switches, cabling, or related commercial wifi components?
Answer 7: The Government will be responsible for the installation of any access points
Question 8: Is there an incumbent currently providing this service? If so, please share any available details.
Answer 8: Yes, however due to fair competition the vendors name cannot be released.
Question 9: Would this be a Wi-Fi set-up in the bldg with access points, network switches, etc? The way it reads to me it look like just a fiber line delivering 2Gbps to the bldg. where someone else would plug their own Wi-Fi router into the line.
Answer 9: Yes, this is for WiFi set-up in the building but the Government has routers, access points cables, and network switches in place.
Question 10: Could we get access to base fiber from building 2318 to bldg. 610? There’s unused fiber in 2318 that if not already going to 610 can likely be cross-connected.
Answer 10: No, building 2318 is not part of this requirement and the contractor will need to provide fiber. The vendor who has fiber in 2318 would need to bid this contract and win, for them to use the existing fiber.
Question 11: Would it be possible to extend the due date for the questions as well as the RFQ due date and ultimate install date?
Answer 11: The due date for questions and due date for the RFQ will not be extended at this time. The install date is a required date so it does not effect mission impact.
