About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a construction project to repair Desert Street at Mountain Home Air Force Base (MHAFB) in Idaho. The project is divided into four phases (Phases 5-8), with the base bid covering Phase 5 from Station 112+80 to 119+60, and three optional phases covering subsequent sections. The total project involves removing existing asphalt pavement, concrete curb and gutter, base course, and subgrade, and replacing it with new hot mix asphalt pavement and associated infrastructure. The base bid has a 150-calendar day completion period, with an additional 30 days added for each optional phase if exercised.
The SOW includes detailed requirements for environmental testing, particularly for potential pesticide (chlordane) contamination in the subbase material, safety protocols, personnel qualifications, and project closeout procedures. The estimated project value ranges between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000, with work to be performed under the Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command. Key personnel requirements include a project superintendent with 10 years of construction experience, a Quality Control Manager, a Site Safety and Health Officer, and an Environmental Manager. The contractor must comply with various safety standards, environmental regulations, and base access protocols throughout the project execution.
