FA489722QC065 Q and A 1
2.1.2. Capable of providing a minimum of 200 PSI at 150 CFM.
Q1. Want to be sure you in fact require the 200 psi rating. What is your normal operating pressure?
A1. Our normal operating pressure must be able to meet approximately 175 PSI. However, this output is only what comes out of the compressor. We lose pressure in the air dryer, storage tank, and then a few hundred feet of line to the back-shop. In prior tests our pressures typically lose about 20 psi. New compressor must meet 200 psi requirement.
2.1.3. Must be capable of monitoring key operating parameters and simultaneously adapting to increase efficiency.
Q2. Is this request for a variable speed unit? Can we get a definition on “adapting to increase efficiency?”
A2. It is not a variable speed unit. Requirement refers to the programming within the system that regulates air flow and monitors compressor functions to avoid failure and increase efficiency.
2.1.4. Footprint must not exceed. 76” x 42” x 60”
Q3. Is there any latitude on the footprint?
A3. We are limited to very tight clearances. Can only accept a difference up to up to 70” in height, no other dimensions.
2.1.5. Must not exceed 70 dBA during normal operations.
Q4. Our unit operates at 73 DBA, is there latitude on this?
A4. Not to exceed 73DBA is acceptable.
2.1.7. Power supply must be traditional US standard 230V.
Q5. Assumption here is that the electrical supply in the specification is 3ph/60Hz/230V? Is 3/60/460V available?
A5. Only 230V 3Phase is acceptable due to facility capabilities.
5.1.2. Delivery will be no later than 60 days after date of contract (ADC).
Q6. Will there be any way to get an extension on this, or is there any penalty for a delivery date being pushed out? We have seen unusual delays across the board and having a hard date promised is not in the best interest of anyone right now.
A6. The requirement is 60 days however the Government acknowledges lead-times across the board continue to be affected. Delivery lead-time will be considered of least importance but still a part of our best-value consideration.
