Base Access Procedures
1. If contractor is operating a commercial plated and/or commercially marked contractor vehicle they MUST enter base via the Grandview Gate. Please notify Shaun Roddin if you plan to enter via the Grandview Gate; the Grandview Gate Contractor Information Sheet will be provided to you upon notification.
2. If access is denied, visitor will be provided a Denial Letter. The following are examples for denying base access:
a. Automatic disqualifiers for entry:
· Child molestation, any sexual offense, registered sex offender, assault with a weapon, arson, active warrants
b. Actions within the last 10 years:
· Drug dealing/manufacturing, possession/trafficking in stolen property, burglary, grand theft, carrying concealed weapon, unlawful possession of a deadly weapon, involuntary/vehicular manslaughter
c. Actions within the last 5 years:
· Forgery/fraud, habitual drug offender (3X use of marijuana within 12 months), confinement for 12 months or longer (regardless of offense)
*PLEASE NOTE: Beginning Aug. 15, individuals will no longer be able to access Air Force installations with a state-issued identification card or driver’s license from Minnesota, Missouri, Washington or American Samoa.
Enhanced driver's licenses, marked with "enhanced driver license" and a small U.S. Flag logo, from Minnesota and Washington still meet Department of Homeland Security standards and will be accepted at the Visitor Control Center. Minnesota, Missouri, Washington and American Samoa driver’s licenses can also be used to reflect authority to operate a motor vehicle on Mountain Home AFB.
While ID’s that do not meet security and data-collection guidelines will not be accepted, alternate forms of identification will be allowed. Some of the more common alternatives include a valid U.S. or foreign government issued passport, an employment authorization document that contains a photograph, or identification cards issued by federal state or local government agencies that include a photo and biographic information.
More detailed information is available at the Mountain Home AFB Visitors Center, 208-828-3660.
