About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) document for an Air Force access control system procurement (FA488726Q0056). The document addresses vendor questions regarding system installation and configuration for a hardwired, low-voltage access control system using brand-name source products specified in the statement of work.

The main system and computer components will be located in room 126 near an entrance, with exact specifications governed by building security protocol but confirmed to be easily accessible for vendor installation. A manned workstation is not required and is outside the solicitation scope. Cyber security information including reader licenses, ID numbers, and IP addresses will be provided at the time of need during contract performance. The installation must comply with multiple building and security specifications, though these requirements will not expand the contract scope or necessitate additional effort. The system will be hardwired and low-voltage, requiring clean installation for high-usage applications. Currently, the system is designated as stand-alone per the statement of work, though this is under evaluation by in-house USAF personnel with potential updates to follow. The number of software licenses is pending coordination with the former software supplier and awaiting confirmation.
